WordPress is the world’s most popular content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL.WordPress started in 2003.Since then it has became the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world. WordPress is capable of creating any kind of website. It’s the easiest and most powerful tool for creating websites in existence today.

 

WordPress is an Open Source project, which means there are thousands of people all over the world working on it. And Yes, it’s means you are also free to use it for anything without any license.

WordPress can be downloaded for self-hosted installations from WordPress.org or you can also use it as a hosted service via WordPress.com

 

WordPress started as just a blogging system, but has evolved to be used as full content management system and so much more through the thousands of plugins and widgets and themes.

MySQL 5.6 or above – http://mysql.org
The mod_rewrite Apache module

How to Install WordPress?
Installing the WordPress is a very easy and it takes few minutes to complete. Many web hosts offer tools to automatically install WordPress. However, if you wish to install WordPress yourself, just follow these steps

 

Step: 1 Downloading the most current version of WordPress.

Step: 2 Unzipping the downloaded file to a folder on your hard drive.

Step: 3 Create a database for WordPress on your web server, as well as a MySQL user who has all privileges for accessing and modifying it.

Step: 4 Upload the WordPress files to the desired location on your web server.

 

Step: 5 Find and rename wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php, then edit the file and add your database information.

 

Step: 6 Run the WordPress installation script by accessing the URL in a web browser. This should be the URL where you uploaded the WordPress files.

On this step, system will ask you to select the language for your WordPress.

Here, you have to provide the Site Title, Username, Password, Email and the option for search engines. Except the Username, you can also edit other option using the administrator panel of the website even after the installation.

 

For the security, please provide the strong password.
