Triveni Sangam Allahabad
Triveni Sangam is a holy place for Hindus. It is said that the three rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati meet here. It is a pilgrim for Hindus.
It is said that having a bath in this river will flush off all the sins. The sacred Kumbh Mela is held here. It is also believed that during the time of Kumbh Mela, all the gods come together in human form to take a dip into the Sangam.
Triveni Sangam has two physical rivers Ganges, Yamuna, and the invisible or mythic Saraswati River. A place of religious importance and the site for historic Kumbh Mela held every 12 years, over the years it has also been the site of immersion of ashes of several national leaders, including Mahatma Gandhi in 1948 .
Indira Gandhi was also seen there for the dip several times. Such places make Allahabad a beautiful and cleaner place to live. The vibes are so positive that everybody is away from all kinds of negativity.
