Van Vihar National Park
Van Vihar is National Park found nearby Upper Lake of Bhopal city at Madhya Pradesh in Central India. The connecting upper lake adds huge excellence to the scene of Van Vihar. The lake breathes life into the park particularly when thousands of migratory birds arrive in the lake at the onset of winter. Proclaimed a national stop in 1983, it covers a territory of around 4.45 km2. Despite the fact that it has the status of a national park, Van Vihar is created and oversaw as a present day zoological park, taking after the rules of the Central Zoo Authority. The animals are kept in their close normal territory. Van Vihar is special in light of the fact that it permits simple access to the visitors through a street going through the park, security of animals guaranteed from poachers by building trenches and dividers, steel wall and by giving normal natural surroundings to the animals.
Van Vihar serves as green lung for the capital town of Madhya Pradesh. The fauna in Van Vihar comprises of Albino Sloth bear, White tiger, Lion, Sambhar, Cheetal, Nilgai, Black buck, Chousingha, Common Langur, Rhesus macaque, Wild-hog, Porcupine, Hare and so on. The wildlife ecologist can get a close perspective of the animals in their natural habitat. Other than these, the lake is the living space to the neighborhood and migratory birds species and around 60 wide variety of colorful bright butterflies and insects.
Van Vihar Safari Park is a heaven for bird enthusiasts, where one could discovered birds like peacocks, munias, barlets, wagtails, bulbuls, orioles, Bhura Teetar, Kala Teetar, Blue Kingfisher, Phakta and transient fowls, for example, Tree Pie and Drongo. The flourishing greenery in the park contains trees like teak, tendu, salai, palas, Kardhai , gurajan and creepers like bangoon, gomachi, malkangni and harjudi.
