I am very sure that we all are aware of our beautiful Lucknow. This city makes all the Indians proud. We have such beautiful cities in India. As we all know it is the capital city of the state, Uttar Pradesh.

You might not be knowing that it is the second largest city in north, east and central India after Delhi. It is an artistic hub and seat of the Nawab power and also it is a multicultural city. This marks it different and special from the other cities. It is an important center of government, education, commerce, technology, design etc.

Hindi is the main language of the city and Urdu is also widely spoken. It has the maximum population of the Shia Muslims in India.

Lucknow, along with Agra and Varanasi, is one of the 3 cities in the Uttar Pradesh Heritage Arc, a chain of survey triangulations created by the government of Uttar Pradesh to boost tourism in the state.

Lucknow is the anglicized spelling of the local pronunciation “Lakhnau”. According to one legend, the city is named after Lakshmana, a hero of the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana.

People don’t visit it in summer because its summers are extreme and it becomes too hot. One more reason why you should visit Lucknow in winter is that, during that time Lucknow festival starts. It includes parades, dance, concerts etc. so it is a huge tourist attraction.

This city is also called as the City of Nawabs and is also known for its rich cultural heritage. People of Lucknow mostly speak Urdu, which is a very sweet language. They have their own style for everything. They leave there assent in everything they do, like even rolling a pan is in a different style.

You will never hear them abusing or anything. They always use their words wisely and with warmth. All this makes us realize that Lucknow is very famous and is highly respected for its mannerism. This is something we should learn from the localities of Lucknow. It has the charm of old India and old traditions. The local life of Lucknow is so much on our old and original tradition. They prefer the old tradition rather than the western culture.
