Bangla Sahib
Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is dedicated to Guru Sri Harkishan who is the eighth Guru of the Sikhs. It is located close to Connaught Place in New Delhi. This Gurdwara was constructed by Sardar Baghel Singh in 1783, who supervised the development of nine Sikh sanctuaries in Delhi in that year.
There is pool inside the complex which is known as ‘Sarover’, whose water is viewed as sacred by Sikhs and is known as “Amrit”.
On the eastern side of the Gurdwara is the community kitchen lobby, known as the “Langar”. Regular free food is served to all the devotees going to the Gurdwara.
