Agra Fort
Agra Fort was made by the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Agra fort is also counted in the Agra’s world heritage sites. A stone at the gate of the fort says that it was built 1000 years ago but then was later renovated by Akbar.
Notable buildings in the fort include the Pearl Mosque or Moti Masjid, the Dīwān-e-‘Ām and Dīwān-e-Khās, Jahangir’s Palace , Khās Mahal, Shīsh Mahal and the Musamman Burj.
Chattrapati Shivaji has also visited the Agra Fort. The fort is a typical example of Mughal architecture, effectively showing how the North Indian style of fort construction differed from that of the South. In the South, the majority of forts were built on the seabed like the one at Bekal in Kerala.
So visiting Agra Fort is a must now.
